There are very concrete plans for founding the first French-speaking sociocratic center. Following the pattern of the centers in The Netherlands and Germany, the new center will have France as a home base.
 
The center is an initiative of fifteen consultants who completed the International School for Leaders (ISFL). This school teaches leadership based on sociocratic principles. The training program teaches participants to use sociocratic principles to run their own lives to prepare them to lead others. The School was developed by SCM-certified Canadian trainer and consultant Gilles Charest.

Certification
The members of the French Sociocratic Center come from various French-speaking countries: Canada, France, Belgium and Switzerland. “The task of leading trainers and consultants toward sociocratic certification will be one of the first activities of the new Center,” Charest states. SCM certification is issued by the Global Sociocratic Center based in the Netherlands.

To be sustainable, the new French Center must have a sound financial basis. To this end Charest will transfer the School for Leaders to the Center. “The training program will naturally lead to implementation activities such that the need for consultants will increase,” says Charest.
